Condensed Matter Physics Laboratory
Electrons Photons Surfaces
Responsable : Jacques Peretti
The Electrons-Photons-Surfaces group of the
Condensed Matter Physics Laboratory at the Ecole
Polytechnique has historically studied optical orientation and low-energy
photo-emission in semiconductors. In the last few years several new research
lines have been developed including studies of the physics of magnetic
multilayers, electronic transport under mechanical stress in nanostructures
and near field optical and electronic microscopy.
Principal research lines :
Local spin probes
|
Piezoresistance of nanostructures
|
|
| Optical nanostructuration of surfaces |
Magnetic spin filters
|
|
Physical chemistry of III-V semiconductor surfaces
|
Optical orientation in semiconductors
|
Collaborations :
The team maintains collaborations both within and outside France, and with both academic and private sector partners.
