Research topic:
My research focuses on a new theoretical description of diffusion-controlled reactions based on the Dirichlet-to-Neumann operator, which opens a rich and complementary way of analysis to the conventional approach based on the Laplace operator [1, 2]. This general formalism allows one to describe new surface reaction mechanisms and to model various natural phenomena in physics, chemistry and biology.
We aim to deepen this original approach in complementary directions: to consolidate its mathematical rigor, to develop efficient numerical methods to study the Dirichlet-to-Neumann operator and its spectral properties, to study new mechanisms of surface reaction and its biophysical applications.
