Connections between Châtelet or Denfert-Rochereau and Ecole Polytechnique

There are two options. In either case, from downtown Paris (e.g. CHATELET-LES-HALLES or DENFERT-ROCHEREAU stations), take the RER B in the direction of "SAINT-REMY-LES-CHEVREUSE".
First option: get off at Lozère (a 40 to 55 minutes trip). Use the pedestrian itinerary of at least 15 min (about 300 steps).
Second option: stop at the “MASSY-PALAISEAU” station (a 35 to 45 minutes trip) and take the bus line 91-06B or 91-06C direction SAINT-QUENTIN (Mondays to Fridays). Stop at "POLYTECHNIQUE LOZERE” or “POLYTECHNIQUE LABORATOIRE”. Buses start from Monday until Friday from 7:05.

The two primary entrances to the campus are the Main Entrance (via car / bus, also known as "P5") or the Lozère portal (pedestrian access only).
Main Entrance (P5)
Open entry from 7am to 7 pm on weekdays
Restricted access with a badge or legal proof of identity at all other times

Laboratory Portal (by car or bus)
07:00 am – 07:00 pm on weekdays. Closed at all other times.

Joncherettes Portal (by car or bus)
07:00 am – 07:00 pm on weekdays. Closed at all other times.

Lozère Portal (pedestrian only) every day including weekends from 07:00 am to 11:00 pm (accessible by badge only at all other hours)

Outside of official operating hours, a personal badge is required to enter the campus. Security barriers are installed at all entrances to the campus. Visitors must enter via the Main Entrance (P5) and obtain a temporary visitor’s pass.

The laboratories are under restricted access. Visitors without a badge may use the telephones available outside the entrances to reach their contact inside the lab.
