Modeling of crystal growth with the help of phase-field methods

by Anne-Marie - published on , updated on

We currently deepen our collaboration with the team of Laszlo Granasy and Tamas Pusztai at the Wigner Research Institute in Budapest, Hungary. This collaboration is supported by CNRS through an international collaboration grant (PICS). Both of our teams work on the modeling of crystal growth
with the help of phase-field methods. We have already worked together on growth and coarsening of polyristals; in the future, we will also work on coarsening dynamics in fluid mixtures and on complex composite materials and biomineralization.
