Biography :
Jean-Damien Pillet is a Professor at École Polytechnique (Institut Polytechnique de Paris), working on hybrid quantum circuits. He graduated from École Normale Supérieure in Paris and obtained his Ph.D. from CEA Saclay, in the Quantronics group, before holding postdoctoral positions in France and the United States, including at Columbia University and the Collège de France. In 2017, he co-founded the QCMX Lab with Landry Bretheau, developing novel quantum devices based on hybrid superconducting systems, with a particular focus on Andreev bound states in low-dimensional materials such as carbon nanotubes, and nanotube gatemon qubit.
