Dendritic growth in électrochemistry

We have been studying dendritic growth in electrochemistry for several years, in relation to the electrode/electrolyte interface properties. We have made a contribution to the understanding of these phenomena, by modeling dendritic growth mechanisms in the electrodeposition of a metal from a binary electrolyte. Our results have been applied to the study of the anode/electrolyte interface in lithium batteries and more particularly to that of dendritic growth phenomena which limit the cyclability and the recharge rate of these batteries, and can lead to serious security problems.
